It's official. The glorious sport/hobby/art-form/behavior-disorder of Kinetic Sculpture Racing will again have a Registered&Placed Theme Camp. (Last time was 2007.)
It is called Kinetic Cab Company, because we are giving "taxi" rides in our pedal-vehicles. You pedal, yes.
Located on Esplanade at 9:00.

Way to go Elliot and crew! I hope to be nearby and pedal over to check out the 'cabs'. Might bring one of my own monsters out this year, or at least the small chopper trike to give rides on.
The Kinetic Cab Co. (Esplanade and 9) is looking for theme camps to serve as check points in the Great Black Rock City Kinetic Sculpture Race And Treasure Hunt.
Check points will have a veritable parade of human-powered rolling sculptures visit their camp on Thursday September 2, beginning at 4:20 PM o’clock.
As of this writing we have eight check points confimed, but BRC is a big metropolis.
Please e-mail email@example.com to make arrangements.

New event added to KCC's schedule!
...already signed up to participate in the Kinetic Race And Treasure Hunt are close to 30 pedal-vehicles and over 80 people! And a gazillion check points, so this will be a lively event.
There is a lot of talk about collecting "treasure" for points, but I... will probably be more interested in "collecting" refreshing libations!
The Treasure Hunt starts at the Kinetic Cab Company on Esplanade and 9, at 4:20 in the afternoon, on Thursday September 2.
The Finish Line closes at 9 in the evening, back in the same location, and the Victory Party then begins! Officially, the Victory Party is from 9 PM to 2 AM.
Now the new event:
Friday, September 3, again 9 PM to 2 AM, the Kinetic Cab-aret! Yes, a musical cabaret... of some sort. (I'm not in charge of anything. LOL) Musicians and singers are cordially invited! We'll have at least one of my pianos there -- possible two of them for this occation. (They are on wheels.)
It turns out that our Dispatch Tower will not support a piano, but we still want to drop a piano Sunday morning after the Man Burn. So we plan to drop it off the roof of my bus. That's 12 feet, plus any extra platform height I can build onto the silly thing. Should make for a good "KABRAAAANNNNGGGGGG".
