We're looking for people who would like to teach a smooching workshop! We'd like to have one workshop a day, but we're running a little low on instructors.

This year, same as last year, we are located in Asylum Village. We were rated the best place for PDA in PissClear!

The curriculum is up to you, but please remember that the Smoochdome is rated PG-13.

So how exactly does one establish credentials as a smooching instructor? Are there tryouts? Is there a degree program? I'm working on my PhD in cunnilingus but I don't know whether that coursework will be accepted as proof of expertise here.

Um, do you have a sample syllabus from last year?

Should instructors solo with help from students or tandem teach?

Is nibbling permitted? Toungues?

Smooching is one of the rare academic disciplines in which independent study is not permitted.

We've had both instructors teaching solo, and couples teaching together. Both work.

Of course! nibbling and tongue are permitted as they pertain to Smooching. We just don't want it to turn into the Fuckdome, or the HeavyPettingDome. Its the Smoochdome.

Sample from last year:
Instructor introduced himself, then asked the participants to break themselves out according to who they would like to kiss - boys who kiss girls, girls who kiss girls, boys who kiss boys, etc.. Partners were chosen. (This was probably the hardest part, cause sometimes people once they get there get shy, and there are always more boys who kiss girls than anyone else. Hmm.)

Instructor then described, and demonstrated with a partner, a kissing technique that he found effective. Examples: teasing kisses, porno kisses, kick-it-up-a-notch kisses. Much practice ensued. Partners were swapped. More practice. Lots of practice.

After a couple of these, he opened up the floor to participants to share and/or demonstrate.

Sample enough? Its easy!

I would like to work a smooch instructor shift.

My public smooching career started accidentally at the kissing booth in 2002, and was very well received by the public, causing my campmates to nickname me "Ranger Liplock."

Since then I've run 3 or 4 kissing booths at various Burner-friendly events. My reputation precedes me in the greater Seattle region and portions of British Columbia.

Please let me know what the next step in the process is.

Okay, I'm not the best smoocher and I'd love to learn more, so I can't really be an instructor.

However, I am not shy and I make a great ice breaker for when those shy groups come up and you need someone to step in and get people comfortable.

hello nice people!

Tuesday afternoon at the Smoochdome is the Sash-Making workshop, in connection with the Miss Black Rock City 2004 projects. Participation is encouraged among all Self-Proclaimed Beauty Queens: all men and women, all sexual preferences and/or identities, all theme camps, villages, tribes and tents.

You must have a sash in order to compete in the Miss Black Rock City Preliminaries and/or the Miss Illumination 2004 Sepcial Event!

A smooching workshop will be held directly after the sash-making, for interested parties...

Hi! I am the workshop instructor coordinator. I am trying to coordinate a schedule for those interested in being an instructor. All you need is the ability to stand up in front of about 100 people to tell them the best of what kissing is all about.

Just an FYI, ask your friends what they consider good & bad kissing and you will have enough material for a course right there...Also, come to a workshop, if you haven't been, and you will get the general flavor. Keep it light and simple. We want people to love to kiss. After that, they can head to other camps - like Orgasmateria, etc.

Couples are welcome to instruct! I think you both will have something to bring to the class!

Can't wait to meet everyone on the playa! We just found out our camp will be at about 7:00 and the Esplanade (we're behind whatever's there, in a big red dome) within the Asylum Village, which is going to be on the map!

Classes are from 2-3pm Tues-Saturday...Just to remind everyone!

The set up is that you basically pick someone nearest you to smooch with or you can bring someone along. We had several returning workshop participants who came each day and had new partners each time.

Our workshops are on the art of slowing it all down and loving the KISS itself. Anything beyond kissing is not covered in our workshop - there are other camps for more "advanced" kinds of interactivity.

You've just got to see it to believe it - a packed dome of people smooching is a beautiful thing!
