Let me play favorites for a moment. I know I'll miss people, but I did want to shout out to some of my favorite authors of ePlaya posts in recent years:

* Eric ShutterSlut
* theCryptofishist
* Token
* Captain Goddamnit
* bm_cricket

Just to name a few. Whenever I see those names (and avatars) on the sidebar, I let my guard down and let in a post that is some combination of being intelligent, interesting, substantive, or amusing.

There are really too many to mention, and without taking the time to totally thing this through, I'll just list some the come immediately to mind with my apologies for all those I enjoy reading have great respect for their wisdom, that I have somehow forgot to mention.

AntiM - Always a fair and tireless moderator offering sage wisdom to all.
Ygmir - The witty diplomat.
Isotopia - The snark queen (or king) I'm not sure if Isotopia is a man or a women.
Goathead - a great guy, like a book that shouldn't be judged it's cover.
Token - a guy who's wit I'm just starting to appreciate--hope to meet him on the playa this year.
Pinemom - very appropriate handle (at least the mom part) always willing to offer help
DocPyro - great camp theme and thanks for hosting the meet-n-greet
SailMan - my favorite memory--the caravan of him, his young son and his wife riding in a single file caravan across the playa.
RiskyBurn - cute, bubbly and friendly with a great smile
the theCryptofishist - always calls it like she sees it, with a bit of acerbic wit thrown in for good measure.

And the list goes on...

FYI, Isotopia and Badger (Capt.Badger) are the same guy. He and I have had our disagreements in the past, but by and large he's a pretty decent chap.

It's a tough list to compile, as we have so many noteworthy burners on this list.

AntiM for all the hard work she does keeping this place running, along with Dork and hell, you know who you are. All the mods. AND ActionGirl for having the ovaries to be part of our family... and let us in on the hidden secrets of how Borg operates...

Tish. God how I miss her. For initiating the ePlaya bar, which led not only to a metric shitload of great aquaintances being made, intrestingly enough, but to the (IMO) success of various camps, not least of which ours (Apokiliptika) and the infamous Boobie Bar (which WAS a direct offshoot of the ePlaya Bar...)...

And saying that, Doc Pyro. Yeah, you. I think were it not for you this place, hell, BRC, would be a much more insular, less community (*ding*, drink!) kind of Community (*ding*, drink!).

Of course, all my buds, past and present in Apok. And our mortal enemies from BRIBH, the Herring camp, the Kiwi Hoarde, etc. which made this board ROCK. Killbuck for his art and drive in 05, and Heli, and, well... Damn, all youse guys.

Captain Goddamnit. I LOVE your wisdom, your wit, your willingness to jump in. Prolly YOUR fault I started doing the Burn (well, you and Kimric, but that's another story!)... Goddammit!

Ygmir - it's not been long, but damn, you post amazing stuff.

So far as I know, Captain Badger -- with the clever kitten avatar -- is a different person than Isotopia/Badger/Ray.

this thread is weighing on me.
Almost, without exception, all who post here with any regularity, contribute and I always glean grand knowledge, and more than a few chuckles.

This is a great group of folks, all with their issues, and, all civil, if not respecting, towards eachother.

How, oh how, to make a list?

Folks who've been here from the beginning New folks (me included), who have been welcomed, and, included. And even the snarkiest dip wads.........they all give grand lessons and input.

I bow, to you all.
