British Burning man virgin looking for a camp to join?
Hi,
My name is Thomas Anthony Cummings and this year have the pleasure of attending burning man. Although i have not yet found a camp to join as i have heard about them and the services they provide be it a wonderful place to have a fun or receive essentials. I would love for some advice from wise burning man attendies.
A little about myself- I live in london and work in a bar in Camden(to fund this wonderful trip) and i am working on becoming a street performer in the style of the wonderful Philippe Peit. I have a great intrest in music and love sharing passions with people.
Sorry to make this like somesort of cv but i dont know another way to say it.
Thanks for your time hope to hear from you soon.

Hi Thomas.
Unless you are willing to pay big money, there are no camps that offer essentials or services.
You must be ready to provide everything for yourself.
This usually means tent, sleeping bag, food and water. You will not be served out there. Read the Survival Guide which has a great list of required survival items and good-to-haves.
Some camps do offer shared luxuries but those are a product of communal effort, not catered services.
Once you provide all these things for yourself, go check out the Theme Camp forum and see if any camps are takin members this late in the game.

Yeah, there totally is. Don't listen to Token, he eats pretty animals.mdjgutie wrote:Token, you are zero amounts of fun. I was totally hoping there was someone out there running a camp with hot showers that accepted credit cards and offered vegan meal options. Please tell me there is. I want to believe.
Vegan Vixens run their camp all-vegan, and they do a meal plan. You can sign up for 1-3 meals a day, and they take cc in emergencies (like you met a special soul, and want to take them on a dinner date at camp).
Last year, they helped cater for Daft Punk.
They're usually around 12 and Trash Frence - just look in the "V" section of the official tc list.
