Arriving Saturday...Problem??

This year will be my second burn and I can't wait!

Unfortunately I can't make it to the playa until Saturday, 9/4. A friend of mine who has been to BM many more times than me mentioned that the gate is closed and no entries are allowed after Friday....!

I've read the survival guide and see many great tips about exodus, but nothing about when the gates close.

Can anybody advise if and when the gates close for new entries during the event?

Gates close at 6pm, Saturday the 4th.

Jespar. Good to know, thank you - I plan on arriving in BRC around noon so seems like I'll make it!

Stickygreen - I am coming to participate; given the current economy not everybody is fortunate to be able to take off a significant amount of time from their daily lives. Luckily I was gifted a ticket this year and am going for the short period of time that I am able/can afford. But thanks for your comment.
