One rule, I live by:
never, apologize, or regreat, for thread drift.............bbwwwhahahahaa

the goggles worked great, IMHO. I wear contacts, and, they seemed to keep my eyes protected. Ski goggles, for me, worked a little better, but, not worth the bulk and discomfort.
the leather on these, with a little moisture, will form to your face pretty well, and, seal fine.
I use clear ski goggles for at night, if I need them.
one good Chinese thing, IMHO.......

Misa:
you can't buy goggles, or much of anything "on playa".......
you gotta get 'em ahead of time.
online, there are many sources for cheap ski goggles.
to me, they work well, and, are quite affordable.
also, many, including myself, bring extras, so.........

there are a couple of threads addressing goggles and such.
I'd suggest, you at all times, carry a good dust mask, and, a pair of goggles.....it a duster comes up, you don't have time to get to camp to get them.

It doesn't work if the train is moving away, tho... and supposedly the faster the train is, the clearer the In-A-Gadda-Da-Vida effect is... pretty cool stuff.
