Post by veleda » Tue Aug 10, 2010 2:17 pm

Hey everyone!

My camp needs some new water tanks. Any suggestions on where to get them in Reno?

How big/small are you looking for? Twin City Surplus had some large tanks last time I was there.

Dear Veleda,

Get 6 50-gallon drums. Make sure they are all full to the brim, so they don't slosh and tip the vehicle hauling them.

There is hours of physics I can spew but the important stuff is:

A 50 gallon barrel of H2O weighs over 400#.

Fill them up so they are 100% full.

Find strong shirtless men to handle the barrels.

good idea. My kitchen guys (its a total gender reversal. The guys cook and the women lead in our camp. ;) ) say they want a big ass 275 gallon tank they put in a flatbed with a forklift. The smaller ones make more sense to me.
