FUCK! After months of female issues, I am delighted to discover that it's not fucking cancer! But it is fucking endometriosis. So, while it's not going to kill me, it will leave me in fucking ridiculous amounts of pain w/ my mensus. Like my period alone isn't fucking bad enough!

At least I'm getting it now, and not on the fucking playa.

With endo. you do have options. Laser surgery, lupron (have a loving supportive spouse if you choose that option, you will gain wait, crave sugar, and go crazier than George W.), diet changes (some studies suggest that women with endo. going on a no additional hormone diet can reduce the increase and spread of the tissue. So no soy or hormone injected meats, etc.), birth control pills/insertables help some women, and then there is a hysterectomy.

When thats what they thought I had the last was the option I wanted. I don't want to give birth and I was fine with them taking the whole basket, but leave me the one unaffected egg please! I watched my sister go through 9, count them 9, surgeries to remove the tissue. Her doctor told her that in 20 years of practice she was the first to ever wake up after a hysterecotomy saying she couldn't remember ever feeling better.

If you consider it (what my sister or I or anyone else would do is unimportant), there is a site called Hystersister that is a great support and discussion group for women before and after surgery.

Good luck. Oh and I am not kidding about the Lupron. Looking back I am mortified that I was as big of a bitch as I was.

Did it blister yet? Hopefully it is primarily first degree. Karine had second and third degree burns on the backs of her hands due to a cooking accident and this brings back memories that make me cringe. I hope it’s as minimal as possible.

Fucking burns suck. If it blisters badly, please see a doctor. Severe burns can fucking cause scarring that actually impairs your hand movement.

If not blistered yet, then it hopefully won't. This is very fucking good. Silvadine is a cream used to treat burns. Nodding to ygmir, it contains silver in it in small amounts. It may even be available OTC now. Google search for fucking info. It was affordable, even as a prescription.

the universe is being fucking nice to me this year- very minor blistering, and I can bend my fingers alright. There's some minor nerve damage (very sensitive to touch), but I think it'll heal fine. Hopefully by Monday or early next week I should be able to pick up my hammers again. I'd like to get this commission off my bench before I head to the desert.

Eric- See a doc for your burns! They have the most WONDERFUCKINGFUL burn creams... Truly. Oral painkillers didn't touch the pain for me when I burned my fucking hand, but the fucking burn cream (silver nitrate I think) was fucking amazingly soothing.
