One Item for BM a Day (2010-2012)

After three solid days of hand stitching, the coat IS DONE!!!

I feel like I've passed a major landmark with this and the shade structure. The list now seems more managable though it's still quite long.

EmilyD - great coat. Great minds think the same way. My wife is doing a vest for me basically the same way. The wiring will be on the inside with small slits to let the lights through. The lights will then be stitched in place. Battery pack goes into pocket. The vest originally was a fleece vest. Aside from the lights there will be a fur trim. You and I will definitely not be darkwads.

Ya, the flowers are felt, there is a circle of silver lame' fabric in the center, poked the light through it then covered all bulbs and wire with felt.

Love the coat, Emily!

Our green lasers arrived (fun!), and I did a CostCo/Target run to get a smaller daily cooler, some car snacks, & a closet rod (to make better use of the costume space in our Gypsy wagon).

I saw that too. My reservations are $40 more fo rthe same room I could get on teh burner discount. Did you call up your hotel and ask to get the burner special, or did you cancel and re-reserve?

We got our truck/tow vehicle all checked out for the road trip, and our sweet little weather band radio showed up today from Amazon.

Tonight we're going to do a couple of costumes based on Tyvek jumpsuits.

I did call up the Marriott and ask for a Burner discount and they knocked the price down $20 per night but the Holiday Inn was still less so I moved us. Not only that but the Holiday Inn is closer to Gerlach! ;-)

Funny thing is I always swore I'd never get married and voila...lookie what happened while I was busy living my crazy life?

Our anniversary gift to each other is our burgin voyage to the Playa. ;-)

Loaded the lower compartment of the trailer.. Just to see how everything is going to fit.. Only a few more items and put the lid on.. Next will be loading the van with cooking and food stuff..

Purchased a rim mounted spare tire for my trailer. No more limping in to the event on 3 tires with an axle chained up to the frame.

This morning I tried the Vitalyte. I was extremely pleased. The scoop's serving seemed like a lot of power, but I didn't even have to STIR it, I added the water (just stuck the cup under the faucet) and bam. It was dissolved.

Tasted good, too. Tasted like lemonade, not some shitty lemonade flavor. Didn't make the water taste thicker or froth up or anything. I'm very pleased and happy I bought.

Plus, I love the label. "...whether you're pregnant or just hung-over..."

looked at the vitalyte on Thursday at the store... went with the cheap gatorade. pound wise, penny foolish perhaps. Thought back to the zero hydration issues I've had without vitalyte. Will covet for next year I guess.
