Wedding ceremonies??
Is there anyone who can perform a wedding ceremony this year? My fiancee and I are thinking about getting married out there. Any advice will help. Thank you! :D

I'm ordained, and qualified, but, as Token said, it may be to late for the paperwork.
you'd need to check with Washoe and or Pershing counties about the forms and such.
I can't perform a wedding, legally, in Nevada unless I know the names of the couples and put in for a permit and pay the fees and all that stuff. I'm guessing it's to late, but, if you check with the counties about license, maybe you can ask?
good luck

Call Pershing County clerk in Lovelock - Right the frack away, like first thing Monday. You might get a miracle... BUT it may mean you and your officiant make a couple trips to Lovelock pre-event...
In fact, the officiant needs to contact them as well, to make sure she or he has their dux in a row!!! This is MONDO important!!!

398 Main St.
Lovelock, NV

• Hours: : 8am - 5pm, Monday - Friday
• Wedding License Fee: : $60
• Method of Payment: : Cash, Cashier's Check or Money Order
I did call them (I am also an ordained minister and have done weddings before) and they have some pretty specific stuff they need before your officiant can perform the wedding (they are limited to, as I remember, 5 per year) and they also need some specific stuff from you (I think, including a marriage license --grins--)...
Good luck, and blessings on your future lives together!!!!!!!
(I've always wanted to do weddings in the Kantina... would give "Authority permitted by state" a whole new twist!!)

Weddings in Nevada
I am an Ordained Minister in California. Nevada is known for going there and getting Married. This means that out of state Ministers are facing significant paperwork to perform Weddings in Nevada - and cut into one of their lucrative tourist trades. I know many who have put forth that amazing effort. However, you that won't prevent you from having a CEREMONY requiring a follow up in California. This would be required to make the union Legal. Short and sweet. If you live in California and are even thinking of being married at Burning Man, I suggest you obtain your license before hand, like; city hall San Francisco. Then you have the option of having an amazing ceremony at Burning Man with the legal words and signatures as some follow up in California.
