Well, you read my blog so I would assume you've read all the reasons I chose Vitalyte.

Gookinaid’s VITALYTE™ replaces fluids and electrolytes faster and more effectively than any sports drink, Pedialyte™**, electrolyte salts, or any other oral fluid and electrolyte replacement solution

No, I agree you made a good, well researched, choice. I appreciate that. vitalyte specs out be a technically superior product. Thankfully I don't do morning after, so my hydration needs are less palliative.

as to price... not so big a difference really.
I paid with tax $4.39 for powdered G to make 8 qts. = .14/cup .55/qt

$13.20 plus tax here = 14.52 vitalyte to make 80 servings .18 serving (8oz?) .72/qt
but that is also enough to mix 5 gallons of drink. For me and my experience, I think it's more than I need.

We emptied out the trailer and dropped her off to get the bearings repacked, brakes checked, and have a spare tire mount bolted or welded (they'll see) to the hitch so the ginormous tire doesn't have to go in the car. Woohoo! We'll pick her up on Weds & start loading her up.

I ordered a downturn brim fedora from ETSY on what, Wednesday? Tuesday? and it came today!!! It's not altogether a casablanca hat, but it's close... then my graduated cylinder and lab coat for mad scientist event perhaps, and specimen cups (brand new in box... please!) I can tell I'm struggling against an acquisition vortex. Past history supports the possibility that this stuff might never be seen on the playa outside my camp... but I'm gonna try.

That's not a "fedora..." but a good-enough fit for Casablanca style.

Grammar and fashion...I can't help but notice things. I know the difference between capris, clam diggers, pedal pushers and coulouttes, too...you and your hats! Love it.

I spent oh...8 hours last night on my outfit for the Eplaya MnG. EIGHT HOURS. Straight. And it's just the top half.

You people better be worth it!

...and I better actually show up this year!

We will come bolt straps onto your heels and drag you there if necessary. I've been looking at that graduated cylinder, and hope I don't get stopped repeatedly for carrying something that looks too much like a bong. I want to get the most day glo sort of beverage and put a little led on the bottom to make it look very radioactive. thoughts? Mt. Dew? Gatorade? Monster?

What is the difference? (I'm being serious. I thought they were all basically the same, just different names for different style/generation periods.

Well, I think that capris are shorter than real pants, and coulattes I know are shorter but wide, like a skirt and capris hug the leg close.

Basically it's all wacky female fashion, always changing so women are burdened by having to buy a new wardrobe every year...

It won't be for lack of wanting!

Graduated cylinder? Is it clear plastic?I say water, but that's just cuz I'm in favor of drinking water! Mountain Dew is a bright orange color, isn't it? I hate the drink, but love its history.

Capri pants taper in below the knee, pedal pushers do not. Capris also tend to be a little longer (mid-calf and lower, rather than hitting right below the knee), and usually aren't denim. Culottes are the same mid-calfish length, but are much, much fuller. They look like a skirt. Not to be confused with skorts.

No, it's fashion, period. Men's fashion is equally as nuanced and, historically-speaking, just as, if not more, fussy.

Today, I sew!

I'm altering a few long skirts I haven't worn in ages. You know the kind, the one size fits all sort. They're long, loose, flowy. I'm shortening them to be more friendly with bike riding in them.

I'm also working with my bike's basket to make a super funky liner that will be very much in line with Burning Man! A unicorn is involved with this delicate process.
Popped the playa cherry!

Oh, don't get me STARTED!

(Just an FYI: Having worked in a costume shop, I spent my days poring over the history of fashion books - it'd always been a hobby, still is, so I can tell if a picture is 1963 or 1965 based on what they're wearing. My dream job is to work wardrobe for Saturday Night Live, and go to FIDM for their Film Costuming major.)

I've been freaking out for the last day about everything I still need to do or buy. I guess a freak out party is my item for today.

I think I need a beer and to chill!!!!

I don't need the stamp, but I love it, too. No wonder you adapted to Apokaliptika's Hall of Propaganda so readily.

Went to WinCo and got bulk items for custom trailmix, which is now mixed and bagged. I know, reduce, but if we pre-bag smaller amounts into sandwich bags to carry in packs, we actually eat the trailmix. Went to the commissary for more staples, juice, crackers, etc. Began filling the food bins and noting what we're lacking. Truthfully, we could have survived the week on simply what's in my understairs pantry. We stock all year; much of what we take is what Larry consumes on the truck. We have jerky and tuna and shelf-stable bacon on hand!

I accumulate canned good etc on sale throughout the year for earthquake supplies and burning man. A couple of weeks ago, I got it out of the cupboard and in one place, enough for the burn, and more, but a bit dull overall. I need to get some goodies. But... since then I have been lazy with groceries, sneaking into the easy to peruse canned stash. I need to just box it up for real now.

Today I sewed 2 skirts, 2 halter-style tops, and a white sparkly unicorn-pelt kimono. And 2 fuzzy soft blankies. And found out that we have a friend cruising through town the weekend before who room in his trailer for our bikes so now I gotta figure out how I want to decorate my bike this week before it gets picked up next Saturday. Ack!

I found a possible solution to the ball problem, not steel, alas. Do they sell large looose bearing (inch, inch and a half?) at hardware stores?

I don't think we sell any loose bearings at all, so don't go to a big box, orange, or blue.

We had lunch with some veteran burner friends, unpackaged all of our food and packed it (MAN, what a ton of trash that generates!), put all our clothes into 2-gallon ziploc bags, sorted everything into bins, and did a Walgreen's run for contact lens solution, saline nasal gel & such. Busy weekend. Found no-sugar added mandarin orange fruit cups and boneless, skinless sardines, too! It's soooo close now...
