virgin burner seeks transport advice/rideshare from Calgary

Post by bluesky33 » Mon Aug 16, 2010 9:17 pm

hey all,

after a few months in central america and colombia, i just flew back fairly last-minute to canada for a friend's wedding and lo and behold, realized that i may actually be able to attend Burning Man after all. i'd met some burners on my trip and had my interest piqued, but thought i'd be in south america at the time.

i've posted a note on the rideshare forum but thought i would ask here as well -- if anyone has any extra space in a vehicle, or knows someone who does, in alberta or somewhere near, i would be very excited to hear of it!

i'm 27 and easy-going, into philosophy and art and design and camping and what-not. living/working abroad in a few different cultures makes it easy to adapt to pretty much anything, and necessary to question more than a few assumptions ;-)

Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

I don't know if this is true, but you might find more people going out of British Columbia than Alberta. There is a sizable contingent of people from the us northwest that go, and that reaches up into Vancouver (Canada) and surrounding areas. Of course, I don't know how many hundreds of miles I'm adding to your journey in this casual way.
