Holy Shit! I drive north to Reno in a week!!! Even with all the crap and drama going on in my life and the lives of those around me both online and off, I'm still very excited to be heading to the Playa this year! This week is all about figuring out how to downsize the contents of the 24' truck we normally bring and fitting it into a 16' flatbed trailer. By myself. I had so much help last year... this year, not so much. Oh and somewhere in there I have to make a costume or two. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!! Life is good.

You have a beautiful way with words Ygmir. I lost my mother a few months before the last burn and wasn't ready to embrace the temple experience. It's strange to look forward to reading the touching and yet sad poems people leave. My gift will be a small supply of sharpies.
I wonder, think that's ok to leave or would it be considered moop ?

Our camp has four sets of ashes this year. One husband and three parents. Rough year for my campmates.

Actually, none of the deceased were Burners. The husband never wanted to go but had no problem with Cookie going. Cookie will be staying at her daughter's camp this year and we'll all gather there for a large "Going Away" dinner on Sunday evening before heading out to the temple burn.

Fishi, I am arriving to SF on Wednesday around 2 and Marty is picking me up at the airport and he knows all the plan (how I can thank him, nothing seems enough for all he is doing!).
I am staying just one day/night and then traveling to Auburn and Saturday on playa.
Lets see how that works out. If we dont meet before, we will meet on playa!
(And also I am leaving from SF back on 15thSeptember and have no idea what I will do since burn till my departure

)
