Camp location/information

Post by LilBoosch » Wed Aug 18, 2010 8:01 am

I'm a Burgin and have a question on where/how to let others know where we'll be. I'm not part of a theme camp but am coming up with a camp name and want to let friends/others know where to find us. The issue is I won't know where we'll be until we get there and find a place to set up shop. So my question is, is there a place to go and put our location on a list that others would have access to, like center camp? I'm hoping it's simple and I've just overlooked it, but I want to tell people to look us up at [insert camp name here] and then have them able to go somewhere and learn that our camp is at x o'clock and D. Am I overthinking this?

Thanks Dr. Pyro...OK I know I'm overthinking it (I tend to stick to my strengths), so is there a place to "register" our location (not the official theme camp registration) and if so where?

Yes there is! It's out on the playa there! *points right over there*

Okay enough snark. There is a place called Playa Info right near Center Camp with a large posting board and an actual large map you can indicate your camp's location on. Just make sure your friend's know to go there to look!
A plan is what you vary from.

Destiny Lounge 3D will be at Bradbury and 3:15 this year as a part of the 404: Village Not Found group of camps! Come see us!

You can register your camp/your name/playa name at the Playa Info Center. It's located at 6 o'clock & Center camp.

whoops you beat me to it!

I was talking about the actual computers that they have. You can register there and people can look your info up and find you.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realized that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me

I wondered and stressed over this same question. Then I decided...wherever I camp I'm just going to spray paint a giant "X" in the dirt. It should work.

Except for the whole "leave no trace" thing, that is...

;)
