California Newbies Seek The Haps

Post by AnyPlace » Wed Aug 18, 2010 11:26 am

Hello, Hello!- Burners one and all, my name is AP. My good friend KC and I will be Burning this year for the very first time. We're riding solo, and think it would be cool to get to know some people involved in the scene before we make ourselves known to it in the flesh, thus this posting.

I can't wait to hit the Playa and neither can KC. As a pseudo-intellectual-poetically inclined-philosophical-type, Burning Man represents for me a mecca of consciousness. More accurately, what Friedrich Nietzsche dubbed, a culture of consciousness. A place where men determine for themselves the state of man, governed by the necessity of creation, to create for themselves a future of culpability and reasoned responsibility, even if that future last for just a few moments in August and September. Until the world opens up, we shall patiently wait and shout greetings from our lofty dig and If anyone out there in the space wishes to shout back, please know that your sound will never fall on deaf ears.

Hedonism and ethics living in the same house?! That must be interesting.

(And I do thank you for the greeting:-)
