Hot springs near Reno

Post by SpicyChocolate » Wed Aug 18, 2010 5:52 pm

Hi everyone,
I am flying out of Reno on Tuesday (evening). I want to decompress a little by going to a hot springs nearby on Monday. Anyone know a hot spring that is not too far from Reno (<2 hours) I am thinking of a chill sort of hot springs, friendly and communal, and less like an expensive spa.

I'd love some company too. Anyone want to join? If you already have plans to go to a hot springs nearby, I'd love to join.

30 seconds on The Google. "reno hot springs". Easy-peasy.

The hot springs in Sierraville are wonderful, but it'll be jampacked with post-burn burners. Clothing optional and in a beautiful, natural setting. Might want to ring them up and ask them if you need reservations.

There are a bunch of other hot springs in the area, but are more straight up conventional - in Carson City and in Genoa.
