Back to Italy? It was a 3rd world country, people starving, no GNP to speak of, no infrastructure to speak of, not much of anything before the 1920's. Trains ran on time, factories started producing, people were working, the Lira was worth something, and they even had a postal system that wasn't 2/3 as reliable as a note in a bottle...

His idea worked so well that Snotler rode Musso's coattails, trying to recover Germany from Versailles 1918, and his piss-poor attitude and blame other people shit drew nutcases to his side... and of course, if you hang around with people with fleas, don't be surprised if you start to itch, too.
