Ok as you have all pointed out good things i would like to remind them we are not judgeing them on there age or maturity level.

This is a matter of rules and if somethings were to happen.

I DO NOT advise ANYONE under the age of 18 to attend the event without a guardian. ( someone 18+ ). Not ONLY for the minors sake but the events as well.

They need to take responsibility for the age. YES it was a PAIN for myself to find a guardian, i asked MANY people and no one wanted to take on the responsibility of if something WHERE to happen, they could get called on the carpet.

But as i proved last year i am not the type to run with the inch of freedom i am given.... But not everyone is like that.

Though they MAY be mature enough to handle themselves and all that goes on... that is NOT the point.

Protecting the event and the people of the event as well as the underage person is.

It just bothers me... people shouldnt be telling them to go against the rules.... YES they would more than likely get in but that is SO besides the point.

And you should always go with me. Because i can do the splits and i enjoy belly dancing nude

I'm trying to be nice about it, but I'm not exactly in their good graces. It's been a pretty crazy mess, much of it of my own making because of the social experiments I've carried on and things I worked through post-car accident along with a messy girlfriend split, but some of it was because of some good old fashioned closed mindedness. Long story short, I was going to camp with the 3Playa village. Then in a very public way Precip and a few others said that because of my "drama" issues they were not comfortable with me camping with them. Well, instead of telling me this in private, I was blasted in public...which is something you normally don't do. Anyway it got ugly, dragged on for about 3 weeks, and today I finally said screw this and left.

If anyone wants to see the sordid mess (ie: is very bored and has too much time on their hands, check out the 3Playa Village and Kinetic's Space threads over on III's board). And for the record, I've got about 80% of the main users over there privately offering words of support, while a few others do what they did over here a few months back. The more things change, the more they stay the same....

I'm sure posting this will draw one of them to post a rebuttal...it's standard operating procedure, but so be it. Most of that group is a great group of people to know. But there's a few people that simply don't get it, and likely never will. Anyway it's over and done, and there are 30K+ other burners out there to get to know. Anyway I've hijacked this thread long enough. Back to the topic.

Fuck them. I told you a long time ago I did'nt like the way they treated you. They dont know how to have fun.....Well fun for them is being miserable and making others the same.

For the most part they are just jealous because they are not having a good time. That's why they make everyone else miserable.

Anyhoo, I'm glad GsPOT made this thread. I always had a good feeling about it as I said at the begining. GsPOT listen to Releaseme.

BTW Mr. K. I've always liked that Badger site. I like the song too. Oh and that new Sprint commercial.....

The practice of toting your baggage from one board to another to air your issues/dramas to draw attention to perceived slights and disagreement is a good case in point. Not so much a verboten netiquette thing as an exercise in declass behavior. At best its sophomoric. At worst, well, let the curious reader decide.

Still, it makes for some very interesting (hell, compelling) reading for those folks considering putting together a large camp comprised in part of people known only through e-mail exchanges.
