Hey eplaya lurkers,
I am seeking some advice on when is the best time to arrive at BRC. Originally, we had planned to leave in our RV from San Francisco around 8pm Sunday night, drive all night, and get to BRC around 5am. We heard it's best to arrive when the sun comes up, missing the line for the early arrivers and avoiding finding our way in the dark.
Is this going to mean we'll never get to sleep at 9am in the heat once we set up our shade? We'd like to get some sleep before the week really begins. What are your experiences with this?
We don't really want to rent a Reno hotel room (probably can't even get one anymore anyway) because we are offering rides to other burners and don't want to force them to also get hotel rooms.
The other option seems to be either driving up at 7am Monday, missing Day 1, taking a nap when we arrive and have set up (around 5pm). But with this we will hit traffic as well.
Any other ideas or suggestions? We don't want to be wandering the playa searching for our spot in the dark.

You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.
