Where to get a bike in Reno?

Post by Raven9940 » Wed Aug 25, 2010 10:31 am

So everyone keeps telling me I need a bike at burning man. But I'm flying into reno airport from New York with no room to bring one and I'll have to hitch a ride out to the playa. Does anyone know any last minute places to grab a cheap bike in the area or along the way? It may not even be possible if there isn't enough room with who I end up riding with.

You will want a bike for the playa. You don't need one but they are nice.

But this is very last minute... There is reno bike project which is downtown, there are also some thrift and pawn shops on Virginia that have put their selection of bikes out for sale in the last few days. In a pinch, $75 to $100 gets you something at walmart.

More importantly, make sure your ride has room for you to take a bike. If they dont, it kinda makes the decision for you.
