Reno bike scene report

Post by junglesmacks » Sat Aug 28, 2010 4:55 am

I flew in to Reno yesterday, grabbed the Budget truck, and started doing my rounds. First stop was getting a bike.

Called up Reno Bike Project, and they said that they had tons of bikes. Went by.. and yeah.. they had a bunch, but all were too small a frame, and pretty jacked to be honest. $55 a pop. Being as that I'm still recovering from blowing out my knee, I had to have a big enough frame and hood working gears.

Just to check, I want by Wally World and sure enough.. $57 for a brand new floor model mountain bike. They had other brand new ones for $80, and brand new retroish comfy looking cruisers for 75.

Not recommending big box, but just saying.. if you're in a pinch going through Reno and can't find anything, it's not that much for a brand new one. Donate it after if you want.
