This message needs to get to Camp Gallavant / USS Nevada / Arrggg Bar Bagdad and 3:15
We were rushed of the Playa in an ambulance without agreeing on how to communicate with our camp !

Update on the Alex Dane Mother situation:

Alex broke her shinbone and it is a complicated fracture (3 breaks - cool x-ray photos) that will need surgery. However surgery will not be possible for another 6-9 days due to her leg being swollen. This means that Alex is done with burning man for this year and will be flown home out of Reno in style (lying down in business class) and on severe pain meds on the next available flight to Denmark either tomorrow or the day after. Our travel insurance has kicked in so we are being taken really good care of. Alex is high as a kite, and they have a kids play-world here so I'm well entertained. Missing you guys!

FYI we are staying at the Grand Sierra Resort and Casino in Reno (grandsierraresort(dot)com) in room no 1102. You can also leave messages in this thread, I will continue to check it throughout our stay here.

I will be needing a ride back to BRC when I have put Alex on her flight. Do you know anyone that could help me with that?

Looks like Alex will be put on a flight on Thursday at around noon. Thankfully this flight has only one layover.

How did this accident happen?

We all become cautionary tales eventually.

Hate for someone to have to leave after getting there.
I hope the insurance pays for a replacement trip.

Well Alex was just jumping on a trampoline together with some guy, and she just had a really unfortunate jump. She didn't fall off or anything, just hit the trampoline coming down as he was going up. So it is a freak accident you could say...

Well anyway Alex has just left on a jet plane bound for Copenhagen, and I'm waiting for my ride back to the Playa at 9 pm. So I'll see you guys out there at around midnight. I'm expecting some serious fun since I have a LOT of catching up to do, and I promised Alex I would party for her too.
