Playa Directory - is it on line prior to gates opening?

Post by geospyder » Thu Jul 29, 2010 7:52 pm

Last year I placed the Playa Directory on the car dash and promptly forgot it - big mistake. This year I'd like to TRY to do some planning. Is there an electronic copy of the Playa Directory on line prior to the gates opening? If so, any idea when it is posted?
You know it's going to be a bad day when you jump out of bed and miss the floor.

Yeah, I've actually tried to use it. Might be useful. Most of the things we tried to locate in space and time were in another quadrant. It seemed that time and space had little meaning.

What I'm trying to say is, the things listed weren't necessarily at that time or that place. It wasn't very useful. Maybe someone else had a better experience. I would like it to work, and may give a couple of things a go this year.

We tried, really.

Operative word "TRY". No watch - no concepts of time - just maybe the day. Nice challange

One year I even went so far as to not only print the directory but cross referencing it with the theme camp placement list and used a binder to put both *books* together...... (even hand notes in the margins) Somewhat easier to read then the WWW... well, even typing it here makes me sound as *futilish* as it felt on the playa not making one single thing I planned.

Why isn't the playa directory and map online? If you click on any theme camp it says location will be available once the gates are open. The map would be nice to have but is "not available yet" I thought this information would be available once the gates opened?
Thanks!

This is not a good place to ask those questions. We don't have the answers. Forced to make a guess, I'd offer up "the people who could answer your question are all on playa and the website wont be updated until they get home."
