Just got a call from LF and MM. They're were passing through Auburn - about 100 miles west of Reno. Long day for them. Will relax with a brew or two later when we meet in Sparks later this evening.

one more crazy prep day. I have a torn envelope in my pocket and am writing things I might forget on it.
3 AA battery holder, 4 AA battery holder, addresses for postcards, coffee for cold brew concentrate, CR32 batteries.

Half way packed. Taking a break and then will continue. Sure hope we have everything. Lots and lots of burners at Save Mart parking lot in west Reno when we went for dry ice. Topped off the tank on Vista and TV 2 was there interviewing burners. Twelve hours from now we arise for the journey.

That's the burniest part of the week so far.

I did go down to the anger management meeting, but I didn't let the air out of all their tires.

I left one car in the middle completely untouched.

Time to post some good news....

I had two job interviews on Wednesday....and I got offered BOTH jobs! I go from nothing to having choices! Amazing!

I may not be on the playa this week but this is still my burn week and the end of the year for me as it has been since 2002. At least it's ending in a great way.

It's funny how life works sometimes...the very job that allowed me to go to the burn back on 02 is now my new one...I'm going back into telecom, strangely enough. And I'll be going in with seniority when it comes to picking my vacation days so getting Labor Day week off shouldn't be a problem.

It's really been an amazing week...now as long as the webcam works for the burn tomorrow night I'll really be set.

And to all of you eplayans who helped me out...I damn sure appreciate it and won't forget it either.

I will continue to make art. Because fuck the burn, I don't need it for art or it for inspiration. I finally called into work last night and asked my manager to start letting people know that I didn't get to go, and told her that I'll probably be in Thursday next week.

Good to see everyone I saw, sad that I missed others especially FaeTora. We were supposed to be matching secret agents at the rampage! But such is the playa.
