DVD announced his departure over on the Oakland Cop Thread.

Sorry to see him go, hope he changes his mind. This thread is for the people who'd like to ask him to come back.

DVD has been gone for over a month, I am fairly certain he isn't even reading here anymore. He did ask for his account to be de-activated, but I don't know if admin did so. I do see him on FB now and then, and he seems to be doing alright. I've known him quite a while, from the old Dioxine list and the cocktail parties. I'll pass it along that he has an appreciation thread.

When we did our Destiny Lounge install at LA Decom in 2008, I put out a feeler for help here on eplaya and DVD Burner was the only person who offered to come and help us setup and do it. He came thru and was a huge asset for our camp there. Really nice guy too... very clever and interesting!

DVD and I have had minor differences, but I honestly hate to learn he left here. Not that I blame him one bit.

He helped me to learn about a lot of things...yes IPv6 definitely comes to mind. This board has many voices but his is one that I know a few of us will definitely miss. Damn...this news seriously sucks.

Bullshit. It has changed. it's a hell of a lot better now than it's ever been.

Here and There, if I remember correctly DVD was the one that brought up the subject of race many years ago. The vast majority of people on this board over the years don't give a flying rat's ass about race. Playa dust is neutral and it covers everyone the same. And I'm sitting here wondering why it even has to be brought up at all.

The cheap shot on Miss Iso's statement of facts sucks as well.
