Your first post-burn meal of 2010 was..
Freshly back with a blown mind in Tahoe to say the least, and I must say that I beelined for a huge Lizzy's mushroom/swiss burger and a rootbeer float for my first after playa meal. Never tasted so good..
What was yours?

I had a terrific breakfast wrap at some stand along the road half way to I-80. Some burners were selling scrambled eggs in naan bread and really good coffee. Quite a welcome surprise. I got there around 11 Sunday morning, just a while after leaving the playa.
It was my first burn, and definitely not my last. Wish I were back there right now, dust and all.

A hot dog at Love's in Fernley while dumping trash, sewer and filling the water tank. The hot dog after the Man burned from an art car was better IMHO.

We stopped at Cedarville and split a pulled pork sandwich with fixin's. Delicious.
Haven't had a regular meal at home, yet. Haven't got my appetite back. This morning it's pancakes, bacon and eggs, all stuff returned from the playa. I found a pressure can of organic pancakes and fully intended to eat them 'at home'. Kept it in the fridge and the bacon frozen, just never quite got around to eating them.
Not to hijack the thread, but does anyone else not each much there?

Beef 'n' Chedder with curly fries at the Arby's in Wadsworth, right before hopping on I-80. There was a bunch of burners at that truck stop. The gas pumps were a madhouse. But, I took a few minutes to fill my stomach and relax with burners outside of their natural habitat.

In-n-Out Burger Of My Dreams
In-n-Out Double Double burger, Animal-style, fries and a Dr Pepper in Reno (technically Sparks, NV?). Monday night. The place was chock full of Burners. Couldn't have had a better meal. :D

IZZY'S! Oh man I've missed those bugers. If i still lived in Tahoe I'd have gone strait for Izzy's, immediately followed by a trip to Jalisco's.junglesmacks wrote:Freshly back with a blown mind in Tahoe to say the least, and I must say that I beelined for a huge Lizzy's mushroom/swiss burger and a rootbeer float for my first after playa meal. My friend and I spotted Olive Garden in Reno and began squirming with delight, but we quickly realized we were in no shape to walk into the busy restaurant, being covered in dust, filthy as hell and wrapped up in monster fur coats.
So we went to Red Robin across the street.
YUM!
