It fucking fits. No shit.
Is TIME for a rite of passage.
This was a revealing burn for me. Revelation Wednesday did not disappoint, it even went on thru Thursday, and thanks to the attitudes of a couple people... ... even thru the burn and temple burn.
And NOW... I understand.
So yeah... it's time for change. And changes - MASSIVE - are coming.
You are warned.

Hard to believe, but I've missed the last 5 burns. Moving to Austin and dealing with some heavy personal issues has made it difficult to muster up the gear and get my ass back out there.
But Im going to try like hell to make it out there for 2011. And with what I've gone through over the past few years, a rite of passage sounds about perfect for me.
Not that I will be paying much attention to the theme when Im out there, of course.

That was my first thought as well...a nice guillotine called "Moil" and a good spread. Just saying.
Guillotine? I thought that's why I had my teeth filed sharp.......
Why do I always go there? Why?

The theme sucked better, last year. Isn't that always the way? Who's up for a protest?
The last good theme was 2002's The Floating World so since then every theme has sucked!

At first I wasn't too sure about the theme, but now I think it will be perfect for me.
My first and only burn was a several years ago. I was 19 and in a very unhealthy lame relationship, and I was planning on breaking up with that person as soon as we got back from burning man. I actually thought it would be a good idea to go under those circumstances! Well obviously we had a miserable time and hated every minute of it.
Im currently with the love of my life, more mature, and too excited for this next years burn. For me, rites of passage means moving to adulthood and finally finding myself.
...stoked.
