Metropolis BM 2010 Welcome sign

What happened to the sign when you enter the event? We came in early on Friday before the gate opened and there was no sign, when we left on Monday morning, no sign. I've looked all over the internet and find no pictures of the sign when there usually are hundreds.

Wa happen?

It got a picture of it.

Was probably either stolen or taken down to avoid being stolen.

Probably the sign shop took it down while maintaining the highway signage. DPW never sleeps.

Wow. One would think the sign would be located on a spot out side of the right of way so that would not happen...

What did it look like? I did not see it either. Can someone link or post a pic?

I wouldn't worry about pix showing up of the sign. People are still decompressing, cleaning up camp gear, etc...when they settle down enough to upload pix I'm sure you'll find all the pix you could ever want of it.

we got there Friday before gates and left Monday around 5 (9:00 we hit pavement) and we never saw the sign either

looks like a really nice sign

We got there in the very early hours of Monday morning, and left again in the very early hours of Monday morning. Never saw the sign.

We came in Saturday afternoon and it wasn't there... left for supplies on Sunday and came back in and I believe it was back at that time.

Maybe they misspelled something and had to take it back to the sign shoppe. It's not like that hasn't happened before.

I was looking though Flicker photos, all of the photos I found of the sign were taken at night (probably Sunday night) based on what I've read here and the pics I'm guessing the sign was stolen by Tuesday, just a guess. Since I never saw the sign my burn was ruined! Last year was better and I heard next year is going to suck!
