Orphan Camp came together

Post by Vittachitta » Thu Sep 09, 2010 9:26 am

If any of you saw the conception of Orphan Camp and wondered how it went--it successfully came to fruition on the real Playa, making orphans into friends. Next year we will no longer be orphans...so if anyone wants to be passed the torch of Orphan Camp, it is a good way to meet friends you never knew you had. Those of us who camp together again may be collecting as the Endorphins :)

My apologies to anyone who didn't get emails in time to join us.

Love! Peace!

I watched it with great admiration and amusement! It was great that you stepped up and ran with the idea. Thank you and good job. I most certainly referred it to newbies. They (and I mean me at one time too) get so overwhelmed on the planning that it's nice to have someone to offer help. Gently nudge them to read the prep info..... Hey, how about an Orphan Passage 2011 camp, from solo newbie to burner.

I'm really glad you guys pulled it off. I was sorely wanting to join you, but I had already signed up with another camp (MalMart) by the time you started discussing it. I had a great first burn, but I suspect I would have made more long term friends if I had been part of the orphan camp.

Congrats, that's awesome! I too followed your progression from wanting to join a camp to making a go of DIY and I'm so happy for you that it worked out so well! The Endorphans - what a great name! See you next year : )

It really was beautiful how it all came together. I feel like I've made a whole new family. I miss you all, I'm counting the days until the next burn.
