There *ARE* crooked, abusive, power tripping cops working for BLM.
IT AIN'T NO JOKE.
My stepson was dragged out of NEXUS on his back, by his heels... simply for IDENTIFYING the cops and calling attention to their presence. One of them was wearing a skull faced dust mask, my stepson went over to compliment the guy on his face and then saw he was in uniform. "Oh! You're a cop! Pretty sneaky!" he said. Another cop grabbed him from behind and they dragged him out. Witnesses were firmly rebuffed and told to disperse, they dragged him to a spot that was enclosed in with box trucks where they beat him and accused him of "attempted manslaughter and resisting arrest" even though he went limp as soon as he realized the situation. They also accused him of being on drugs, which he wasn't, just a few drinks. They gave him a sobriety test, which he passed. He asked for names and badge numbers, but the agents refused to identify themselves, except for the fellow who filled out the paper work, Rudolph August. They turned him loose with bruises on his head and under his armpits and a ticket for "creating a hazardous nuisance". $275
Thanks BLM.
I have no issue with Sherrifs, Agents and Officers who are on this planet to protect and keep the peace, it's a hard job and I have nothing but respect for law enforcement that stems from love for society. But this is an example of what we call a SHAKE DOWN! How many people are going to come back to Nevada to fight a 275 dollar ticket?.. and if 1 percent of them do, so what... maybe the officer won't even show up in court and you will win... from their stand point, who cares? They are banking on the other 99 who will just pay the 275 and be done with it.
This is SERIOUS folks
We intend to take legal action.
If you, or anyone you know was a witness to this event, please reply! Even if it's just a friend of a friend story, it will help us track down who that friend is. It will help our case.

I think they still want the feedback, even if late. Here's a link to the web-page where they explain the feedback form and ask you to fill it out as close to the event as possible:
http://www.burningman.com/on_the_playa/le_feedback.html
and here's a link to Laywers for Burners, in case you want to talk with a lawyer who is familiar with BMan etc.:

That's really lame that they behaved that way. How was he supposed to know he can't even compliment one of them?
I haven't heard of anyone describing a similar incident but if I do, and they may have witnessed it, I'll let you know.
