Great camps? Not-so-great camps? Downright lousy camps?
I'm starting this 'cheers and jeers' thread so e-playans can give shouts out to theme camps, ride shares, or noble individuals who made Metropolis the best burn ever. You can also provide 'constructive feedback' to those who left something to be desired, but I prefer to focus on positive reviews.
I'll start:
Although I didn't get a chance to visit too many camps as I was tending to ours, we did get a chance to hang out at Kantina early in the week and undertook the delicate process of painting a lawn gnome. Hilarity ensued.

9 burns and counting. Each one gets better.

We loved Sexy Tramp Camp and their awesome Compliment Booth, great people, spray paint and trampoline!
Slut Garden was always fun with the hula hoops.
Party Naked was a gas too, the "asshole" who works there is hilarious and each time you go, you get closer and closer to actually partying naked
(Kept missing my neighbors at DOA; heard there was a Bailey's hour--DANG!!)

If you think you've overdone it, double it.

we of the Specialist Clan (8:00 + Bagdad) met manny of the members of Hippocampumus camp and loved them. they would come and sit on our Ginormus Hippo and squeel whith delight. one gal showd me her tushie, and the cute tatoo of 2 hippos humping, they brought snacks, drunk horny friends, and a good vibe. then I heard they are also from the Pacific north west.
anny hoo, cuddos to you! and though we never visited their camp, they were the best camp yet.
and the worse camp is the camp that stole our big pretty pink hippo. booo! on you. whoever you are.
That and the Tuna Guys! those guys kicked so much Ass we gave them one of our Burners, hope you got home safe Arial.

Fandango's a dive bar- always has been, always will be, no matter where it's placed. And it may not have looked pretty, but it was packed constantly and that shanty didn't budge in all the whiteouts the playa tossed at it this year.Token wrote:Fandango sucked this year. Big huge shanty with Esplanade frontage.
I'm always camped with Adrian- this year in the BRC Weekly/ Bootie BRC RV right up front. Bootie was at Fandango on Thursday, AutoSub on Friday.
Just come asking for me next year Token- as long as it's not occupied my lap is yours.

Stay away from Party Naked Tiki Bar!
Nothing but all these great looking ladies coming in and taking their clothes off to get the cheesy "Party Naked - I Did" lei....and no (to the person looking for leftover necklaces)...you can't have mine!

The hoi-polloi are on my side. I keep the Art Fags on the other side of the city from me. Love to visit (and play) with them, I'd rather live with the trashy straight people. More my type of folk.....Simon of the Playa wrote:Youre right shutterslut, next year im gonna chill on the east coast of the playa, with the art fags and the hoi-polloi.

Do you have a sub-catagory of queer that I can credibly belong to?

Sharkey's at 7:30 & I (I think) was a blast! Got spanked and tatooed!!!, sadly they got busted serving a minor on Weds. night. Didn't seem to damper the fun though! Ogriibar (sp?) was fun.....Dogfish is ALWAYS fun! Can't believe they got hassled on their MV when there were so many suckier ones out there? A pickup truck with cheesy plywood 2 dimensional buildings slapped on it got permitted? WTF? Then there were a few bars we went out of our way to visit that were pretty lame. At one of them, the bartender was actually pissed we (not me directly, but one of my campmates) didn't know her, she thought she was famous......alrighty then?
I didn't know there was Burning Man elitism until that. lol!
