I was there, wondering if we'll be made official by Guinness. Also, anyone have any pictures of that!?

*edited to add link to other thread*

Of 2 methods of verification: 1) pay for Guinness rep. to be there or 2) submit evidence after the fact and wait for response (which takes longer)....I think they went with #2, so it'll probably be a while until they know if you set the record.

AT least this solves the mystery I encountered on Friday night after leaving Midnight Poutine camp. At the next corner, I came upon a large group (30-50 people) chanting Superman! Superman! Superman! towards a random bar. There were some people up top quietly sitting drinking and looking every now and then towards the crowd below and they seemed rather confused.

I asked one guy why the crowd was chanting Superman! and he admitted he didn't really know, that he had just come across them and decided to join in.

On second thought, I think I prefer not understanding and rationalizing that it was an Autonomous Continuous Crowd that would never disperse and would continue to chant Superman! until the day that they were removed from the desert.

I was there in my accurate spandex and all.. amidst the chaos..

Then I saw this article..

"180 men, women and children gathered at Charterhouse Square in the City to break the World Record kitted out in Superman's renowned outfit."

There were quite a few more than 200...
but after the non-qualifying outfits are removed.. the number drops..
