Hey Yall! Starting to plan for my first Burning man!

Post by MonkeyExpress » Tue Sep 14, 2010 10:12 pm

Long ago I heard about a crazy festival called burning man. I was quite young, barely learned how to drive at that point. It sparked a desire in me, that was pretty much put on hold as I grew older... Time has come and passed, and now i'm 25 (26 next year). My girlfriend just posed the question to me "What do you think about hanging out in the desert for a week with a bunch of interesting folks" to my reply of "Burning man hey?" and from there, the deal was sealed. Here I am now, plotting, planning, and most of all begging for the help of the infinite knowledge of those who have expirenced this in years past, to light my path to next years Burning man.

My name is Tony, Pleased to make your acquaintance!

I dunno, though, 2010 was the best burn ever . . . I don't know if there will be any good burn left for ya. Next year might be really hot . . . and really dusty . . . and there might be a lot of hippies.

Awesome! I'll give it a once, twice, and thrice-over. I'm pretty sure there's going to be plenty of fun to be had for 2011. I hope it's hot, dusty, and full of hippies.. That'll make it all the better!

"A bunch of interesting folks"? Tell the truth. What did she really say?
Welcome. You are in a perfect spot to get ready for next year. It's just 11 months off and really never too soon to start. Poke around here and learn how to use the search feature. There is a ton of wisdom here---most it not from the regular posters!
Kick off your shoes and make yourself at home.
