Playa Stakes?

Post by NuggetsGalore » Sun Sep 19, 2010 12:49 pm

They are u-shaped with sharp points that are slightly offset. maybe 14-16" in length. the stake has a square cross-section and looks like wrought-iron. I here that burners fabricate these and sell them. I haven't found them online. any suggestions on where to locate them gladly accepted.

I just attended my first burn and saw these stakes and like so many other useful items want to follow up for next year. THANKS!

I think what you're looking for are called playa staples.

You can get them from these guys. http://theblacksmithshop.com/

I don't think they sell them year round, and it looks like they aren't right now.

I always thought beer was a playa staple.

And I thought that playa stakes were what we bring to your poker game, Doc, because cash is forbidden.

thanks! I will look for "staples" instead of the stakes. the blacksmith shop in Seattle looks like the place to get them and the web site has a broken link. I will email them and see whats up. thanks all for responses!
