Mine Cough. I'm registering it as soon as I'm able. Mon through Fri, 10-12. Roll your own cigs. Now I can go one of 2 routes. Either every interested party can bring a pound of Kentucky Select and a filter Top roller or two or I can set up a Paypal account and get it all put together myself. Either way, I'm making it happen. Just wouldn't mind the gift of help. That way, people can come and stiock up on their nicotine needs at a specific location every day (maybe Sat as well) by rolling their own cigs. Very easy and definatley a need. Let me know!!

SO, some people just can't resist that satisfying feeling of pulling smooth carcinogens into their lungs. They are going to do it anyway. This is an essential need! Why is it ok to partake of all the other stuff and not this? It's either American Spirit or Kentucky Select. Either way, we would be bypassing the chems tat are saturated into the name brands! Considering "organic" contamination of your body!

I'm not a smoker but I seriously think you should do this. I think it is a fantastic idea. Go for it! Smoking is such a social thing that I'm sure it would be a fun camp to do. Especially if you have one of those neat little mechanical rollers. Damn those things are cool.

Make me another margarita while you're at it, and toss a little GFY in there for yourself too. With love, of course.

Free smokes on the playa?
I predict you'll be out by Thursday, once word gets around, if not sooner.
I base this on the number of smokers I saw who ran out WAY earlier than anticipated and were reduced to bumming smokes for the rest of the week.
Cool idea, for those it's aimed towards, but... yeah. Perhaps limited hours would stretch the supply?

Yep! Tha's why the hours are Mon thru Fri 10-12 and we are going one of two routes:
Either I will start a Paypal and buy all of the tobacco and rollers at a bulk rate OR
Everyone interested can bring 1 pound each and a roller and set up on early passes the Sat before everything starts up. My one pound produced a LOT of cigs for a LOT of people. In fact, the roller ran out before the tobacco. If you are interested in helping, email me a message. Thank you to those who have already responded. I think it will be AWESOME and we are open to good suggestions that are feasable (probably misspelled). : )
Camp Second Hand next door?
I can work on decoupaged butt tins. My follow through is not always perfect, but I will try. I have a bag of plain tins waiting to be lovely and loved.
That is HILARIOUS!! Why not? What would you do with the idea? We want a hexayurt camp where all of the "booths" radiate out from the central communal area with the fire in the middle...I CAN'T wait! Oh, I have to. :p
Why not? For me, because I live on Hushville and because I have asthma which is mild until I hit a trigger such as , oh, ciggie smoke. Half a LOL.
I will still try to complete a goodly number of tins.
Fair enough! U got your own crew or do u feel like camping with us?

Thanks for the offer, however, I have a very good crew (MyLarry et al.) and this was my 10th year. We have our camp within Hushville down to a fine art. And indeed, it is a no smoking camp. My project is Anti M's Home for Wayward Art, where people can adopt art and take it home. I'll dig up the link from 2010 if you want to see what I do.
I can't be near the smoke, so I hope you understand if I don't hang out in your camp!

I think once the word gets out you will have a pretty popular camp.
I brought 2 cartons of el-cheapos (Pall malls and marlboro supershorts) last year to gift out at the bar, and had another shipped in late in the week when it was apparent we'd run out. Kept a couple packs in reserve for the crew working Exodus (you won't believe how many smiles this gets - because usually it's a long and dry shift without smokes!) but I ran short by Burnday. Darn!!!
The lobbyist idea as a greeter - IDEAL! Talking nonstop (while chainsmoking) about how smoking is beneficial to your health, how the anti-tobacco lobby is unfair and killing an entire american industry, hell, American tradition, how the enlightened europeans smoke more than Americans, maybe it's time we caught up...
ROLF!!! er... ROFL!!!

I think y'all have sold me on the idea of a lobbyist. Does this mean u have volunteered for the position?? *Hopefully smiles*
I also think tins is awesome and we should promote responsible policing of ashes and butts.
U know what I would like to do, but this is probably unrealistic, is have a whole bunch of magnifying glasses to light the cigs with the sun. When The Wizard lit my cig in 2 seconds with his, I FREAKED! I had NEVER seen anyone do that! It was totally AWESOME!!!
Later incarnations we would like to add coffee and books and a Playa library, but that is down the road. Nice chill, coffee house music, couches, etc. And when what we all want is legal, well, we can switch to that as well(wink). One idea at a time right?
And while Mine Cough is what the booth will be called, we still need to come up with a name for our group.hmmmmm......
