DETENTE'S for the house!!!!!

Ya know, I still have that premium Kvass and a bottle of Makers, somehow we never got it cracked, but Next year... for the summit, or perhaps a side trip either us north or youse guys south.

I really want to open it - it's supposed to be *the* chingadero Kvass... but for you, my dear, I shall wait.

I had a friend, his sister liked in Yucky-maw, what a great place... to be FROM.

Coulda been worse - coulda been grass pants!!! (Yeah, I lived there for a while, first pro gig as a dispatcher for an ambulance company!)

This one's promised to the CO and Red, it's a matter of honor and perestroika, but there are others that are prolly just as good (Monastariya Kvass, which is what I invented the drink with) which I would LOVE to break open and share...

BBSue, when I get back from Montreal I'm checking a couple local joints that I realized might have or be able to order kvass. Any reccomendations?

The one I drink at home is called "Kvass Monasteriya", not the flavored ones... it's cheap, and really god as a stand-alone (which, once you're hooked, is your doom)... if you have little luck (which would be weird, as there are both a large number of Expats PLUS a small group of original settlers from the colonial days from down here thru Alaska...)

There is another... begins with O... that is what I have waiting (along with unopened bottle of makers for you) that is Superb good (is what most Russians prefer)... I'll PM you in the AM.

Hi All!
Totally useless and random factoid about me:
I Dislike Chocolate, and Milk. But oddly enough I like Chocolate milk. WTF?

And I met a German that didn't like bier, and one that didn't like soccer. I am kinda worried that theres one that likes neither soccer or bier, would they be like a Pennsylvanian Dutch?

annyhoo! Cheers!

Heading out to Shasta this morning for a good long weekend. Birthday party for an awesome lady who got through a pretty dire year. Miraculous really. Sleeping bags in the living room, guitars, and tons of good food, with the Mountain looming in the backyard. Jefferson State folks and shaman types, altogether. I'm taking some silly hats and my guitars.

Mmmm, playafied poptarts for breakfast. Except they're generic "toaster patries". Mmmm, even better.

I had my mammo this week, and saw my oncologist. The radiologist hasn't reviewed my films, but the doc says it sure looks like my boobs won't fall off or explode this year. Yay! SIX YEARS! Yay!!!!!
