A donated painting had a loose frame , which I removed. It was borrowed and taken to a wedding, and later, around the playa. I know folks used it for photo ops; Genius saw it in action. So I was thinking of having a Frame Shop. Frames which folks could borrow OR adopt to use in taking fun playa pictures. I'd have plain frames, fancy frames and fanciful frames.
This would be staged adjacent to, but separate from, the Home gallery. Note to self: Make signs which say "Frame Shop", "Gift Shop" and "Archives". And a lighted Closed sign.
It did return. The painting was the fox, which found a loving home.
Yes? No? I'm pretentious?

would be kinda fun to get a bunch of disposable camera's that people could pass around and when its full return, probly end up getting stolen in the end but i like the idea of having a bunch of random ass photos that no one knows who they are from lol
A good friend will come and bail you out of jail...but, a true friend will be sitting next to you saying, "Damn...that was fun!"
I saw it being put to good use out by the Man, I was on the platform and watched as people took turns having their photos snapped with their noggins/genitals etc. inside the frame. I also ran across it in action in one of the youtube clips posted here and in at least two of the photo streams (just don't ask me to find them now).FIGJAM wrote:Sounds like the frame got around more then I did lol.

Anybody could get disposable cameras.
You could do the first picture as your address so you don't even have to get them back on the playa itself....

Someone taking any ah, illicit activities, in a photo could put the person who tries to get the film developed at a photo shop into some hot water. Unless you know someone who can develop the pictures for you, I'd be wary of letting the masses at large take unknown photos and then bringing them to a place to process.

Agreed. I lost a disp camera in Mexico for a week. I left it in a bar/grill place one night. I went back just a few minutes after leaving the place to see if it was still on the table, or if a wait person had picked it up, no luck. Then later in the week I was walking past the place and the waitress just happened to be outside, saw me, and said "hey, we found your camera"
It was less then half full when I lost it, and when I got it back it was full. Back stateside I told the clerk at the store, where I was having it developed, that I was not responsible for any of the pix on the last part of the camera since I had lost it for a week in Mexico. The pix that were taken while I lost the camera were rather boring...just candid shots of the wait people working...but you never know....

What other people think about you is none of your business.

i wish i were an artist, i'm so envious when i see someone create from nothing. alas, i am just not gifted in that way. it's my job to nurture and feed lol, but i will keep a better eye out for wayward art. i am really looking forward to finding you!

Santa Fe is doing me a world of good. Three art museums in a day, I am exhausted yet refreshed, inspired and ready to create. When I get home.
Very nice not to be mad anymore, in both senses. Settling dad's estate (this trip is part of that, a final delivery of my brother's things to his widow) is freeing me up to paint and make and do.
As long as I cab stay out of the freaking hospital.....
Art, art, art!
