We have $8,000 in art grant money to give out this year, across three different programs. Submit your application for an art grant no later than September 21st. THEME CAMPS
Theme camps are a very important part of YOUtopia. All are welcome! If you are interested in hosting a theme camp this year, please take a moment to fill out the theme camps questionnaire by visiting http://sddecom.com/campsform.htm. We want to place your camp in a location that shows it off at its best, so please be as specific as possible, especially when considering sound and fire or fire art needs.

ART CARS
The YOUtopia planning committee is excited to announce that this year we will be able to accommodate art cars. If you're interested in bringing an art car to YOUtopia, please fill out the Art Cars Questionnaire by visiting http://sddecom.com/artcarsform.htm.

YOUtopia EVENT GUIDE NEEDS YOUR INPUT!
Are you planning an event at YOUtopia? Would you like to see a brief description of your theme camp appear online and in the printed event guide that will be handed out onsite? If so, the planning committee wants to know. Tea ceremony, elephant food shopping, human carcass wash, bar mitzvah, weddings, golf tournament, you name it, we want to know about it.

EVENT AND THEME CAMP INFO DEADLINES
To appear in the printed guide: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6TH
To appear on the website: WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13TH

VOLUNTEER POSITIONS STILL OPEN!
Lots of volunteer positions are still open for SD Decompression 2010 - YOUtopia! We are looking for good people to help with Greeters, Fire Safety and Rangers. Volunteers are needed for shifts during YOUtopia. A minimum of a 6 hour shift is required to receive a discounted volunteer ticket.

TRANSPORT VOLUNTEERS
We also need people with access to large vehicles to help us transport stuff out to the event site before the event, and back after the event is over. Transport volunteers may be eligible for a discounted ticket. For more information, contact Dag at [email protected]

Our contract with the La Jolla Indian Reservation states that there can be no glass containers of any kind on site. You will be searched for glass containers at the gate by security. Persons trying to enter with glass containers of any kind will have them confiscated. NO EXCEPTIONS.

[SSRMetropolis]

Come aboard the SSRMetropolis to the decom, We have our clearence from space command (decom staff) and will be departing Friday ASAP and returning sunday ALAP ( as late as possible) From the Fullerton area, willing to stop along the way( if possible, the ship wont fit every where) we are setting up a small lounge called "Spaced Out" looking to fill the ship up all 40ft of her, so bring your friends and lots of stuff we got the room. We made it to the burn and back got her tuned back up and the ship is cleaned and ready to go. Why drive yourself? why, theres no reason start the experiences the minute you board the SSRMetropolis..............why not? Let me know I'm captain Scotty Longpants at [email protected] (its a big 40ft silver bus if you missed that but you wont forget it) good spirits only please happy people a must, its about getting people togather and not driving (big bus pooling instead) :D
