Jack In The Box

Post by junglesmacks » Fri Oct 01, 2010 11:37 pm

Fuck you west coast for having JITB. Every time I travel out here I realize how spoiled you are for having breakfast served 24/7. Do you know what I would do for a breakfast jack at 4 am in Florida? Fuck you. And your breakfast jack at 4 am. Blah. Spoiled ass crystal sucking granola eating patchouli splashing whole foods shopping bitches. I hate you.. AND your 24/7 breakfast serving fast food establishments. Bah.

ya, it's not all it's cracked up to be JS! The JIB in my little po-dunk town (Paradise, CA) rolls up the box at 10pm....not only that, but I was in Sacramento earlier this week for a (Muse) concert, and couldn't find ANYTHING to eat at 1am! Every damn restaurant/mini market/grocery store was closed at 1am, JIB included! so not only fuck JIB but FUCK SACRAMENTO FOOD JOINTS!!

Should this go in the fuck topic?

you get used to the 24/7 lifestyle in Nevada (and NYC). When I travel elewhere I find my self asking: "Closed, WTF?" "LAST CALL?????"

I have never seen a JIB that closed at all, even in Seattle.

The commercials are dreadful.
And the food is runs the gamut from "meh" to scary.

I don't now which fast food restaurant used to sell cini minis, but they don't any more. That sucks.

WOW someone was a little trashed last night while posting from the hotel room.

*cough*

The damn breakfast jack was heaven, let me tell you.

I think my intent of this highly inebriated post was actually to profess my love for being able to buy a breakfast jack at 3am. I think. Not sure.. lol

Still a good investment. There's plenty of tourists in Orlando that would eat there. :)

In a drunken state, I'll scarf down Taco Bell with the best of 'em. That's the only thing that's open 24 hours here. Jack In The Box.. mmm....

Fuck all of that. I want a White Castle out here. NOTHING like cruising to WC after a night of bar-hopping.

No Waffle House but good cheap breakie can be had at several of the casinos here in CC. FWIW, NONE of them serve grits. I've asked.

I yearn for three ayem Waffle House goodness. I yearn for the old me who could stay up to three ayem drinking until the bars closed and then was able to navigate* to a waffle house and chow down without throwing up.

Hell, I fall asleep on the couch before ten PM these days. On a good night I stay awake through the movie.

* by this I mean take a cab and give a coherent destination, or be so blitzed that I didn't notice our designated driver was half in the bag themselves. I should have died a hundred times over.

They have grits at Sierra Sids, I-80 and east McCarren in Sparks, open 24-7

Though not very good, the Denny's in Carson City has grits.
I use Albers Quick grits at home and they're pretty tasty if I say so myself.

This is true.. we do have Waffle House goodness. Such a sit down commitment, that's the only thing. Better than Waffle House is the ghettofied breakfast places in single wide trailer type places. Best biscuits and gravy you've ever had.. for like $3 a plate with eggs and coffee and all. Mainly though, I miss the late night/all night options..

..and mmm.. Southern BBQ with collard greens and black eyed peas. We do have our stuff here..

Blagh Junglesmacks! 24/7 JITB is ok I guess....but the CASINOS serve some real big, inexpensive breakfasts! (no drive up windows though) (reno used to have drive up windows for margaritas back in the day!)

Also, Atlantis serves all you can eat king crab at the dinner buffet...might only be Friday nights but often in busy season it is every night (meaning afteburn any day of the week it's crab/shrimp)..plus a HUGE array of other food...voted one of the best in reno...bring the shrimp and or crab to the mongolian stir fry station and they'll stir fry it up for ya! I tip the stir fry guy a buck and the waitperson the usual fat tip, everyone is happy! (Sunday brunch is also good!)

my two cents
I'm the MAN in a truck, burner who is stuck, you're in luck! I'll whip out my BIG tow chain and not charge you, not even one lousy buck!

We're lucky because JITB serves this stuff AS food?

My grocery store sells head cheese, too.. but that doesn't mean that I eat it or that everything in the store is bad.

I'm talkin about that buttery smooth lightly toasted bun with a layer of cheddar cheese, egg and thinly sliced jamon tickling my tastebuds.. at 4am.

So wrong.. yet.. it feels.. so right..
