Every night I have quite vivid dreams involving Burning Man!

So - I gotta post this -- bc it's almost too freaky to NOT notice it. Ever since I returned from Burning Man I've had VERY vivid dreams dealing with Burning Man. It always seems like the dream takes place on the playa - and there is always some crazy adventure or sometimes not anything of notable significance -- So - I'll tell you about the one that has reoccurred about 4 or 5 times:
It's a nice day - temperature is not a factor and the sun is shining. It's a calm day and it feels much like Tues-Friday of the 2010 Burn and I don't recognize anyone around me. There are random burners around and quite a bit of activity, yet I am simply wandering without any agenda. As I carry on around the inner circle of the playa I come across a huge dinosaur with a giant shadow behind it. As I look closer I see that several burners are noticing the same shadow and I approach. As I do, a burner that arrived a bit sooner than me gets to the shadow and disappears! Quite shocking bc I go to check it out and it seems quite normal. Leaving the area I turn around to see two other burners disappear into the shadow as the earlier burner did!
Freaky, I shake my head and move on --- That's the part that reoccurs on several different occasions in random dream sequences. Sorry there isn't some crazy ending, yet they all seem to have a different beginning and end.
How about you? Have any dreams about Burning Man?

i did have a dream just this morning....
i had a large platter stacked with bacon and i was headed somewhere to gift it to the masses.
is that a dream about burningman? yes

For the past several years, most of my dreams take place on the playa.

I had one awful nightmare last year in which just after arriving to the playa, I lost my boyfriend, and spent the rest of the time looking for him because he didn't know our camp name or location. This year, in real life, I was working at Playa Info and met a woman there who actually had that happen to her...she came to BM from Reno for the day, and shortly after arriving, lost her friend and had no idea where their car was parked or the name/location of the camp they were staying at. She was supposed to go to back work the next day, but had no ride out, plus all her belongings, including her keys and purse were in her friend's car.

I was deeply grateful that this was her real nightmare and not mine. (Though I would NEVER go to BM, or anywhere, and not know the info, like where I was parked and where the camp is).

Almost every night since the burn this year. Last year they weren't nearly as frequent.

This was my virgin year, and I've had plenty of vivid, even lucid dreams of the playa since I've been back.

The place where my dreams have always taken place looks awfully like BRC though. Maybe I've always been dreaming of it. There's one city that stands in and changes for all the places that my dreams need to be, whose true form is a city in the middle of a desert. There's a bazaar there too... Anyhow, one of the reasons I loved BM so much is because it was like my dreams come to life. Weird, huh?

I usually get mine just before TTITD, not after. I sleep like the dead for about a month after the event.

The only one I've had is that I got left behind, by two seperate caravans, on the way there.

You are not alone my friend. This was my second year and I have noticed that the types of dreams are different then last year. Since returning I might go a few nights without a burning dream but then it will come. Sometimes I'm not even at burning man (the playa), instead I will be in a city or a forest, but I have the feeling of burning man. I've also had dreams at burning man about 'vacationing' back to the other world. These have been great because I usually end up feeling like SHIT I need to get back to the burn! Enjoy them while they last and expect them to pick up next year as you prepare (or at least this is what I've experienced).

On a side note, write what you can remember down!

i haven't been there but i had one like 2 weeks ago i dremt i went it rocked and i accidentally walked out of the gate and when i tried to go back in they wouldn't let me because i didn't have another ticket and i didn't have 300 bucks for another ticket .. in my dream i started to cry and another burner came up and said hey i have extra ticket walk back in

Most of my dreams take place at Burning Man now (4 yr burner). It seems the default world my mind feels at ease in. I'm often rushing to get back to Burning Man, bc I have left for some reason, or it's suddenly Sunday and I'm angry the week has gone by so fast. And then sometimes, I just have blissful, burning man dreams, where I am running through people, seeing cool things, mingling with burner chicks, the usual. The playa is very rarely accurately represented though. I don't think I can remember a dream that had the accurate brightness or heat of Burning man. Most are at night or on a cloudy day.

I dream about burning man ALL of the time. Especially after missing this past year, I can't stop thinking about it! Often my dreams will be about buring man, but might not look like burning man all of the time - but somehow i KNOW it's burning man.
The dreams that i get the most are almost like nightmares sometimes. it's always me getting ready for the playa and i can't find any of my stuff - i can't even remember the stuff and costumes that i have that i want to bring! i'm running around my house looking for everything while my friends all wait yelling at me "why weren't you ready??" and i'm like "i don't know!!! ahhhhhh!!!!"
or it's a similar dream where i'm already AT burning man, but once i'm there i realize that i've forgotten all my stuff! and i'm totally devastated not to have all of the things i've been planning the entire year for.
even though these dreams are stressful, they're still good because i wake up feeling like burning man is fast approaching or like i've just been there. i DO have some good dreams about just playing around on the playa and having a good time, but a lot are about forgetting all of my stuff.
i better be sure to start prepping early and make a checklist to avoid my nightmare becoming reality! haha!

The other night i dreamed i was at bm. I was riding in that big volkswagon van and was having my teeth replaced. My top teeth were replaced with really really white square teeth. The teeth kind of looked like big chiclets or rabbit teeth. In my dream i was really happy with my new teeth and was showing them off to everyone...
