Ein Hammer will appear in a very limited capacity (and no flame effects).

Hmff, Im going camping instead, well not in Stead, but somewhere else...with lots of other burners.
I just cant handle all the Non-burner wannabees, no fire allowed, and getting stuck outside cause the max capacity is a issue...no smoking inside a Nevada bar.
Names pinemom, but my friends call me "Piney".

fire is allowed, just not burn barrels as a concession made to the RFD.
as for newbies, too bad such a great experienced teacher as yourself won't be able to reach the ones who would actually listen.
and as for capacity, that's exactly why the emphasis is on expanding out onto elko street, welcoming more set fire pieces, big art and art cars than ever before, as is adding the 3,000 sq ft of dedicated indoor "chill space" at the other end of the block.
this is the biggest and best planned reno decom yet.

so have fun camping!

Looking forward to it, d6. We try to embrace all of the elements when we do Burner events. Just a friendly note to everyone that if you are calling something a Burner event, that radical inclusion and Leave No Trace ethics don't go away.

Respect,

-Jellyfish.

I wonder if anyone know a good place to stay that is walking distance? Thought about taking the RV down (it did say a ticket discount for playa wear. Oh, not the rig, just the clothes?) but probably cheaper overall to get a room.

Any Reno Burners help here?

The Underground is pretty close to any of the downtown casino's. (probably about 3/4 of a mile up 4th street), Not too sure about RV parks in the area, closest one I can think of is at Grand Sierra.

...because I already happened to have Travelocity up, The Day's Inn on 7th Street is $46 for Saturday night. About the same distance as the strip, don't know if I'd walk around there alone at night  unless skeezy hookers and tweakers are your thing???lol!

There is also the Holiday Inn, but its the WRONG way down fourth street (although about the same distance as the big casinos). We escorted our friend there last year so she didn't have to go alone!

hiya. 1st and foremost, thank you all for the tremendous support @ reno decom 2010 - the volunteers, installations and performers all did an amazing job, and aside from one surrounding business, the post-event feedback has been clearly positive, but as we all know, some are just predisposed to negativity.
there will be the highest numbers yet in attendance and revenue, so that means those funds will regenerate into charities, braf and then the local art grant process off of the www.renoburners.org website with the application dates to be posted once we know the final numbers, state fees and taxes involved.
event concerns, suggestions and revisions are all welcomed there as well, so if you'd like to head-up the charge in a certain area, who's stopping you?
i myself am looking at opera singer and marching band hybrids........

thanks again for all of the f'n wonderful effort this decom receives, it's great to see what you all can do!

d6,
space..........in space.

My thanks to the Reno Burners. Had a real good time down there. Good band, good sets by DJ's, lots of friendly people... just a good time.
