Ongoing Burningman Habits
Nothing grand and fancy and worthy of the the name "Tradition", just a list of things you always do without thinking much about it.

Farting.
Even though I am standing and someone is sitting right there, with thier head next to my ass, I let er rip.
No second thoughts, no beats skipped.
I just let it fly, and since I am not wearing underware the vapors are unfiltered.
Sorry about that.
My Sincerest apologies go out to everyone in my camp (Booby Bar) and prolly half of the people in Terminal Village, and definately anyone who was working with me on Ein Hammer on Saturday.

We have an obligation to make space for everyone, we have no obligation to make that space pleasant.

Burning Man isn't about the stuff you see when you get there ....it's about the people that brought that stuff there

Aw, man. Last night a guy in my neighborhood was walking his dog with a red blinker attached to the back of its neck, & I felt a wave of nostalgia . . .
Like Jella, I am more talkative to strangers when I come back. This lasts a while. And I buy more food than I need.
I also keep the costuming verve going more than is strictly advisable. I was one of 3, maybe 4 people at a large Oktoberfest party last weekend who bothered to dress the part . . . only one other fraulein, & 2 people in lederhosen (a lot of people got nervous & just wore black + showed off their specs for once, or went for a vageuly Eastern European look). I wasn't even embarrassed.

-naked jogging around the neighborhood
-the family mini van: bulls horns on the front, fairy wings at the back
-at the local bar: stare at the bartender in disbelief when he asks me to pay
but seriously.......
-it's not all about money any more,
.... and now... dressing all "normal" and business-like is such a joke

I seem to take better care of myself on-playa than a do in defaultia. However, this past year I brought the habit of putting on lotion (just regular moisturizing lotion) on my skin almost every day. I have been surprised with the amount of positive feedback I have gotten because of this. Thanks for the new habit Burning Man!
Oh, and wearing a bra. I pretty much stopped. I'd ditched underwear years ago...but after this burn...well...bras and I had a huge falling out.

i haven't even gone yet, just the preparing to go has already changed me. I made a tutu and had a spiritual experience. LOL, it's never too late to have a happy childhood.
When the only tool you got is a hammer, every problem looks like a hippie.
