A track to Epitomise Burning Man

I know this has probably been done a thousand times before... and Its probably a bit rich coming from me when I haven't even come home yet!

But, I have been watching countless hours of footage from Burning Man over the last month and experimented by placing this audio track over the video montages I have watched...

Nothing else is coming close for me, to the feeling I get when listening to this track and watching images of BM..

I love it, and will play it if I am DJing on Playa in 2011!

Okay, I haven't watched the video & I don't plan on doing so.

Cheyenne- you haven't been yet, & you're excited and you want to share. You need to remember that there is nothing that can prepare you for the actual experience of being on the playa, and that everyone who's responded has been- most of them (us) multiple times.

The soundtrack you hear in your head is not going to be the one I hear, the one I hear isn't Doc's, his isn't Iso's... and on and on. Everyone's experience is different, even if you're camped together.

Keep listening to what you want to get yourself into the state you want to be in, be prepared for the actual event to be nothing like that. And remember that you don't need to share your soundtrack- it's for you, not us.

I'm fully aware that not everyone is into techno..

I wasn't asking such a piece to be 'everyones' soundtrack..

We did some of the laid back techno at a party in the middle of the Atacama desert in 2007 and it kind of worked

Cheyenne, the flipside of "don't you dare tell me what my experience is!" is that they wont presume to tell you what yours is either. Sadly, you won't reap any benefit from that for 11 months.

True, but how the initial post can be construed as 'I'm telling you what your experience should sound like' is rather puzzling

Cheyenne -

There are PLENTY people out there that love techno and many that may like this track. It's just happens to be that those of us who are most often on this board are not that into techno. We're a small sub-section of Burning Man.

I'm not sure why everyone had such a harsh reaction though. They could just as easily have said nothing...

For what it's worth, I didn't construe your post as telling anyone what their experience should be like either.
