Idea: Temple of Goals

So I had this idea to build a small temple on the playa where people can come in and chill, have a little section where they can just meditate and think about where they are in their life "Separation"... There can be another section where they plan where they want to be "Transition", and Finnally a section where they can figure out a year goal and write it down and keep it with them maybe on a keychain or something, until next year, that they want to accomplish.. Then as they walk out the back of the temple they have made up their mind to accomplish that goal by next year "Re-Incorporation".. I thought it fit the rites of passage theme pretty good, can I get some feedback.. I just thought of this last night so there is still alot to think about.

sounds like you've got a goal for 2011. Really it does sound interesting and i hope you do it.

How do you plan to communicate those concepts to the participant? I think its a great idea, contemplative shady places are lovely finds on the playa. And creating a form of ritual tends to drive people to have a more intimate experience with the art.

Interesting idea. My partner and I use the main temple to make our goal list for the coming year. Then we leave a copy to be burned with the temple.

maybe have them write it on the temple wall and write it on a keychain, the temple would be burned but they hold on to the keychain all year to remind themselves of what they are trying 2 accomplish.. and then that way when they do accomplish there goal and if this is a success then can come back and I can have a wall where everyone that accomplished their goals can place there keychains on it and create and new one, just an idea.. I am deffinally gonna do somthing with this idea, not sure how big/small it is gonna be yet tho, still got alot of time 2 think about it
