Destiny Lounge to Return in 2011!!

OK, It's official!

After much consideration (at least 10 minutes), it seems only fitting that we not deprive the fine playa denizens of our exquisite lounge in 2011! Plans are afoot for a new game, and Rock Yer Balls is surely destined for an encore performance! We shall once again provide weary BRC citizens with our ample shade, cushy couches and futons, and of course, our daily frosty offerings of lemonade and ice tea! After a nice chill year in the 'burbs in 2010 we're roaring to be back... well, at least mewing plaintively.

We are Los Angeles based and in need of some fresh blood to make this happen again as we try to keep our camp number down to about 25. That makes infrastructure simpler, but it does require that our members become active participants in the camp. It's still early and plans are in the soft and mushy stage at this point, but if you check out our webpage and like what you see, drop me a note. One change this year will be lower camp fees so don't let the numbers on our webpage scare you off. It's a bit out of date... Oh, and if anyone wants to take on our webpage upkeep, I have the code, but it's all Greek to me! It's php based stuff, whatever that means. It sadly does not include any images of our presence in 2009 on the Esplanade at the 3:00 corner, but here is a link to my Flickr page to give you a small idea. I was too busy having a blast to do much photography though!

One important note: We are not to be confused with a collection of frat boys, sparkle ponies, or the like. This is serious bidness. Keep your drama at home!

First: I am offended by the sparkle pony comment.
Second: I would suggest that all who enter Destiny Lounge be subjected to a TSA style groping, I mean love-pat-down, for the safety of the individuals and the group as a whole. Since many of the participants are scantily clad, I expect that pat-downs will need to be thorough. They will only be randomly applied as needed for the security and peace of mind of the camp. Some individuals may need to be groped, I mean patted-down several times in order to insure they pose no threat. Possibly we should provide either a curtain for their privacy or a big screen projection of the pat-down on a 25â€™ screen, at our discretion of course.
Third: We intend to bring bacon.

No worries Dave. I am sure bacon will NOT be in short supply. This year we're going to try to cut back, maybe I'll only bring 20 lbs.

I'm glad the camp will be back in full swing this year.

On the first day Dave said - "Let there be bacon"- And there was bacon. And on the 6th day The Man burned. On the 7th day Dave rested (until 8am when starts bitching that we should have already started packing the camp in). And it was good. Is was good....

Gettin' to be time to sharpen the old pencil and fill out the form and we're still looking for folks who'd like to be a part of our fun little camp this year! Look us up on Facebook at Destiny Lounge or check out our way out of date website below for some info. Camp fees this year will probably be in the 150 range... depends upon what we decide to do!
