If you could change one thing about Burning Man..

Postby neon tetra » Fri Nov 05, 2010 11:35 am

..what would it be??

For me, I wish they would push the date back about 2 weeks earlier.

I should be teaching full-time in about a year, so next year's burn may be my last one for a bit. :(

I really can't show up to a new job 2 weeks late!

On a positive note, I'm definitely going to build the deep-playa oasis next year that I've been thinking about for quite some time.

Move it to one of the smaller Hawaiian Islands.

When I was a kid I used to pray every night for a new bicycle.
Then I realised that the Lord doesn't work that way so I stole one and asked Him to forgive me.

Random shit blowing up in the back streets. It's way too quiet back there.

Free tickets for me and MyLarry and my choice of friends, because we're cool like that.

Seriously, more of the little fun interactive camps on the back streets.

I'll say, random explosions never hurt anyone.

Seriously, if it's done right, big blasts are a blast.

In no particular order:

1. I would make it one week earlier in the year so alot more people can come with school hassles.

2. Move it to a turf farm in Central Oregon off of BLM land. 10000 acre farms of the greenest grass imaginable.

3. Mellow DPW out

4. Flat ticket sales

1) You should be allowed to set off fireworks ON THE OPEN PLAYA (away from the tents and the city) without getting arrested. Yes, it happend to me.

2) Move it two weeks earlier so all the cute college coeds from, oh, say UC Santa Barbara who are dieing to get back to Deveraux Beach could attend.

3) Show women the back of my RV without them somehow figuring it out.

I've never had a problem getting women to the back of my RV.

for some reason their boyfriends are always scared to come back there, however..

I would like to see some permanant hotels to house the participants and maybe a monorail system to transport people from event to event.
