so I tried to reach out to my regional today. I really want to help out with an art instillation this year and would love to find out more information about it. But the email got kicked back to me....

Any one know how I can link up with the LA regional leader?

Welcome!, I'm from Ventura...you poor thing, get out!! Just kiddin'....isn't there a Ventura or Santa Barbara regional? L A and that commute, ugh, why do that?
Oh, unless you can do it along the ~Malibu~ Route, then YES! do that!~grab some money when you go through Malibu while yer at it!

L A has bigger, better buuut,,,donno, blech, traffic! Don't ya' just love those 28 lane freeways at 80mph! Loose tires flying by faster than your own car? Fun!

Although, I did learn to whistle really loud in the traffic jams when I commuted to University...people in cars along side me thought I was nuts. :)

~~~~Definately try to meet your regionals, I did...although I didn't camp with them...I'm glad we met. (I had pre-arranged camp plans w/a dif group) ~~~~
You can PM me if you need advice...read the preparation guide and this board and ask for help from anyone....check out the costume and crafting thread too! The gals have wild stuff going on there...very cool ~)'(~
Lol certain repetitive human habits by some humans always trip me out a little. Like.. what makes you do that? Why do you do it? What's going on up there that makes you create habits like that? I dunno.
Like.. I have a friend on facebook that every night will post pictures of a dessert, name it, and say cold milk on the night stand. Every morning, she'll post a "mastery word of the day" from some quote book or something. I dunno. No one ever responds, but like life or death this lady HAS to post her dessert and her word of the day. She'll like.. freak out of she doesn't get to the computer to post those. Not saying JK is on that par.. but he does have some repetitive almost OCD-ish habits that make me go hmm.
Shit, who am I to talk. My habits include OCD-ish vodka intake and chasing around WAY too many women at one time for my own good. Dammit.
Hey I work out in Ventura :D at a Design firm! Great to meet you! I will hit you up on a PM cause I have many questions, and even thought i see myself as a grown adult ( I am 25, living on my own) hahaha.... my mom also has many questions she wants answered before I go "LIVE" life for once!
I tried to reach out to regional but email just keep getting sent back to me. Maybe I will give it another week... :-/
If there was a regional meet up out our way that would be AMAZING..... Traffic kills me out here.... you are right though the 1 is worth the extra drive just for its beauty :)
Go to your profile options, and click the yes button to enable code. It's a silly (stupid) quirk of this forum that it's not enabled by default..
I just learned how to do this properly this very morning, thanks to some awsome tech-advice in another thread. Clicking on "preview" (which opens up your post as others will see it ABOVE the composition window) helps to get it right. I had to try a few times before I had some success!
That said, I'm pretty sure that at least some of these guys might not WANT their tidbits boxed... so I'm guessing it's not a horrible thing.
The little things make me happy....
I purchased my first pair of Playa googles today.
Had to start somewhere, right.
Just wanted to share with you all because I feel that you all may have a understanding to my excitement behind this purchase :)
That is all.
Theres alot of SoCal burners out there (I'm one of em). I'm sure between now and the 2011 burn you'll find more and more people you will be able to link up with and help you out, just ask around eplaya. Also feel free to stop by The BUSH in 2011 and say hi, we're all from SoCal (different areas).
Wait, I've forgotten, are NorCal burners at war with SoCal burners this year? And what's the issue: artistic greatness and envy; fashion; obscure difference in "oontz, oontz"; or the old stars on the belly thing?
goggles are a GREAT place to start, but then you'd have to cover up your eye. Do you only have one eye? That probably makes finding goggles extra tough. Its been quite a while since I met a cyclops.
As you might imagine by my name I often have dreams of winter. In fact its gettin that old familiar chill in the air and the mts are white, I'm getting excited!
Would be cool to say I was a cyclops, but no I am boring and two eyed. haha
I have never been in snow in my life.
It is "winter" in So Cal. right now and it was 88 degrees this today.
