BMIR-FM 2010 - Feedback wanted

Post by Bobzilla » Fri Nov 12, 2010 3:07 pm

Bobzilla here, BMIR Station Manager. Burning Man Information Radio wants your feedback.

If you listened to BMIR this year when did you listen? When you were in line to get in, during exodus, during the week, at home on the internet before you left for BRC?

What do you like about BMIR and what do you dislike? What would you like to see more of? Any and all feedback, positive and negative is appreciated. We really do want to know what you have to say.

Thanks!
Bobzilla

Hooo BMIR!

I listen prior to going out to the playa to get that playa vibe going on while I pack!

Also during the line to get in and when leaving (although this year we left late).

I love BMIR! We don't listen during the week at our camp as we have no radios.

I put a nice stereo in my rig so that I could listen to BMIR. I think we listened on entrance, but for sure did on Exodus on Monday during the Pulse. I liked the pulse, and BMIR was part of that.

And during the week I would turn it on in the morning and listen till we went out. Not inside that much, but had it on often when in camp.

The music mix was very nice. And enjoyed the discussions, BRC news and tidbits and the plain insane talk about whatever. Haven't heard radio like that since... well, I've never really heard radio like that.

Yeah, I like it. Keep it up.

I always listen to BMIR the moment I arrive in BRC (usually before more power is added). I love to hear it cuz it reminds me of home. I'm out there a week before the event and we almost always listen to it as we set up our art. However once the event begins I don't really listen too much. Unless of course I'm at my friends camp who always seems to be next door to BMIR and their speakers. I don't recall listening to BMIR on my way out this year with my wait time of ZERO minutes (ah leaving late is awesome). But on years I have been stuck in exodus its been great to listen to.

I like the programing as we get some tunes and laughs while we work and don't have to worry about what to play next and can focus on our work.

I listened on Sunday morning on my way out. Some sort of lame mumbling DJ who kept sending shot out to people I did not know or was interested in. It was fun making fun of him.
Peace in every step

I didn’t get to go this year, but listened to BMIR on line EVERY chance I got. When I can’t be at Burning Man there is nothing that connects me to the playa more than BMIR.

When on the playa I listen to BMIR on and off during the day and many times when I’m falling off to sleep. You guys really set the tone for the burn………it should be a podcast so I can carry it around all year long…….really.

In 2006 during the exodus on Sunday we were listening to BMIR when the virgin I brought said, “What the fuck are we listening to?â€

You just contact the mayor's office. He has a special signal he shines in the sky; it's in the shape of a giant cock.
