Next Friday...

Post by theCryptofishist » Mon Nov 15, 2010 7:10 pm

So, how do you celebrate the day after Thanksgiving?
Some options:
Black Friday
Human Stampede Day
Buy Nothing Day
Watch Incredible Amounts of Football Day
Go to Work, Because No One's There to Notice if I Slack Off a Little, and I Want to Save the Day Off For More Important Things
Sleep Off Turkey and Wine Day
Wonder Why Fishy Didn't Use the Poll Option
Other (Please Explain)

I'll be at my sister's on Whidbey Island wondering if my cat's are ok.
Sometimes I'm confused by what I think is really obvious. But what I think is really obvious obviously isn't obvious.

Driving home after spending the holiday in Las Vegas. We'll probably stop at the fashion outlet mall on the way home.

I'm having "early Thanksgiving" in Washington state, so, by Friday after, I'll be sittin around, I suppose. Unless, I can make it up to my Hof on Thanksgiving day, wherein, I'll build a huge bonfire and toast the "Old Gods".

Two summers ago we took the fairy from Oak Harbor to Port Townsend and saw a killer whale. Thats a nice area.

Weather permitting, not working, enjoying a four day weekend.

I will be buying nothing but a bit of electricity and possible natural gas for heating. No mad dash to the store for me.
It's going to be alright.

OR

Turkey, egg noodle, Hienz ketchup hillbilly soup (Hienz, not those other brands)

Kind of a normal Friday.

Change diapers, play peek a boo, nap when I can. Just like any other day off with a 6 month old to care for.

Friday is used to prepare for our yearly post-Thanksgiving party called the Turkey Burn. We will be building an effigy, decorating, and for a little nostalgia this year we're bringing back the drive by shooting range.

Sometimes I wish I did. I live east of Carson City.
In June of 09 we went on a "road trip" and stayed a night in Oak Harbor.
The next day we took the ferry to Port Townsend and we drove along the Olympic Peninsula to Aberdeen. But we really liked Whitbey Island.

We're going to spend the Friday after Thanksgiving watching a marathon of Mystery Science Theatre and Rifftrax movies, and eating way too much pie. It's tradition!

We will be sleeping in, eating leftovers, taking the pups to the dog park & watching movies. Most likely I will have my morning coffee pouring over the sale ads & deciding I don't want any thing bad enough to brave the angry mobs out there on Black Friday. <<shivver>>>

Hoping MyLarry will be home so we can have copious amounts of sex.

Three storm fronts rolling through, the forecast calls for highs under freezing next week. If he is home, we will spend time in front of the fire, canoodling.
