Heya, my name is Katye and I'm from Houston. 2011 will, hopfully, no definitely, be my first burn with one of my best friends. He doesn't quite believe in my power to get us there, but I don't think I can stand to NOT go. Can't flippin wait!!!!!!!!!!!

Yep, see you there.... read the survival guide, eplaya stuff and join your regional announce list...helps to meet burners, do some fun productive stuff with them and I have a feeling your city has a good regional :P

You should go look at EmilyD's costume and crafting thread...they can help you figure out some outfits good for traveling etc...don't have to wear a costume or dress up but I was glad I did something...hahaha...nothing like thrashing a Tuxedo here n there...mine washed up just fine!

Welcome. There is a huge contingent of Houstonians that travel to BRC. It's part of that amazing art car crowd there. I'm sure you could hook up with some of them and attend a few of the local events.
Make yourself at home here on eplaya. It's a fun bunch, most of the time! :D

Welcome, now is a great time to begin to accumulate the information and items you will need so you won't have to scramble later. (you'll probably still end up scrambling later, just not much!) :-)
